Students win scholarships

The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito Foundation announced that the Leonard & Edith Polster Scholarships for 2010-11 have been awarded to 18 youths from North County.

The awards were presented May 20 at the Del Mar Hilton at a dinner hosted by Leonard Polster.

The Polsters established the scholarship program in l988. To date, more than 500 students in the San Dieguito, Carlsbad, Oceanside and Escondido High School Districts have received financial support totaling more than $500,000 for their college educations. Financial support is donated entirely by the Polsters.
