Del Mar residents and business owners gathered on Sept. 8 to express support for Prop G on the Nov. 4 ballot, the Garden Del Mar Specific Plan.

Speaking on behalf of supporters of Prop G, former Del Mar City Attorney Dwight Worden described Prop G as good for Del Mar residents, good for the city’s tax base, good for the downtown, and good for project neighbors.

“The Specific Plan is the product of over 60 public meetings. It demonstrates that the Measure B process can work to produce a project that achieves community goals while still being viable for the property owner,” he said.

Worden was joined by a large crowd of supporters and officials that included Mayor Dave Druker, Councilman Richard Earnest, Mary Lou Amen, Adam Birnbaum, Karen Brust, Chris Burrow, Kevin Choquette, Karin Craddock, Paul Danninger, Becky Dembitsky, Bettina Experton, Lars Fahlberg, Howard Gad, Jen Grove, John Halper, Jessica Hanson, Pam Linton, Scott Linton, Chuck Luke, Linda Luke, Steve Lutz, Nate McCay, Brian Mooney, Doug Paul, Nancy Johnson Sanquist, Bob Scott, Nick Schaar, Jim Sneed, Bryn Stroyke, Javad Tanbakuchi, Karl Wagner, Susan Wagner, and Dan Wery.
