Tash wins writing awards

Writer Joe Tash won first and second place honors in the recent Society of Professional Journalists San Diego-Area Journalism Competition.

Tash won first place in the non-daily sports category for his Carmel Valley News story titled “Sharks soccer club coach, team departure reflects philosophical differences.”

Tash also won second place in the non-daily investigative/enterprise category for his story published in the Del Mar Times, Solana Beach Sun, Rancho Santa Fe Review and Carmel Valley News titled “Lease critics protest Fairbanks Ranch Country Club’s ‘sweetheart’ deal with city.”
