In partnership with TGA Premier Junior Golf, the Southern California PGA will offer weeklong summer junior golf camps for boys and girls in north San Diego County now through August.

PGA Professionals and Apprentices will lead the camps, which feature full swing and short game instruction; rules, etiquette and scoring lessons; fun games, contests and golf history; on-course play; and a lunch or snack break. Parents can choose to rent clubs for their children for $20/week, or buy a Powerbilt set for $89-$129.

The SCPGA and TGA partnered to offer afterschool golf enrichment programs at area elementary schools, while their summer camps transition kids to on-course play with more individualized attention.

Dates, locations and prices of area summer junior golf camps are:

Encinitas Ranch Golf Course, 1275 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas, June 23-July 30, 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost: $380 for 12 sessions

Lomas Santa Fe Golf Course (age preference: 6-9), 1505 Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Solana Beach, July 13-17, 12:30-2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cost: $215 for the week.
